What we collect
We collect basic usage data for site reliability and the information you provide in forms, including bill uploads or manual entries. We do not require accounts for core diagnosis.
How we use it
We use your inputs to generate estimates, surface tools, and improve reliability. Analytics and ads remain optional via consent controls.

Bill uploads (verified pipeline summary)
PDF uploads are sent to Google Document AI for OCR, then common sensitive patterns (emails, phones, account-like strings, street-style addresses) are redacted before text is sent to OpenAI for analysis. Image uploads may be sent as images to OpenAI vision and do not receive the same pre-send text redaction. We do not currently publish a tested, scheduled “delete within one hour” job for every storage class; do not rely on a UI timer as proof of deletion. Prefer manual entry if you do not want to upload a bill image.
Sharing (service providers)
We use vendors to host the site (Cloudflare), optional analytics (Google Analytics), optional ads (Google AdSense), OCR (Google Document AI when configured), and AI analysis (OpenAI and/or portfolio AI service bindings). Those providers process data to deliver their services.
Security
We encrypt data in transit (HTTPS) and limit operational access. No system is perfect; minimize what you upload when possible.
