What to show the pro
- Bill trend: last 2–3 bills with usage (CCF or gallons) and $ totals circled.
- Toilet dye test result: color in bowl after 10 min without flush? Y / N
- Meter overnight: all water off; note meter movement overnight if possible.
- Outdoor: irrigation schedule, last rain, any pooling or misting heads.
- Recent changes: guests, pool fill, new landscaping, remodel.
Questions worth asking
- Is the flapper / fill valve the likely silent toilet leak path?
- Should we check the pressure-reducing valve (PRV) or main shutoff weep?
- Any outdoor zone that runs when the controller says “off”?
- Rough range for parts + labor before work starts?
